Our Journey to Date
We see the world through the lens of data. Over the last two decades, we have solved complex problems for businesses in their journey from analog to digital. We have touched business processes and systems across industries, front, middle, and back offices, and across the economic value chain, from cradle to gate and farm to fork.
What drew us to climate change resilience, mitigation, and adaptation, is the scope and scale of the problem. It cannot be solved without technology, and technology solutions run on data. So the question we posed ourselves is - Could we help the global effort in sustainability and slow climate change through the lens of data?
It turns out that massive amounts of data are required, but not any data - Actionable data must be precise, verifiable, timely, and relevant, and such data is missing in corporate sustainability.
That gap sparked the idea for Climeverse and the alignment of who we are, what we do, what we are good at, and what gives us joy while solving the most significant problem on our planet. Our contributions to this effort are incredibly gratifying, knowing we are helping the people around us and the generations to come that are dependent on our actions today.
It is through this journey that we found our purpose.
We bring decades of relevant experience to the era of mandatory climate reporting.
Our experience covers national and international leadership roles at Big-4 consultancies and technology firms.
With P&L responsibility and a track record of building profitable businesses, we understand a CEO and CFO's perspective very well.
We also have silicon valley experience, so you get the best of both worlds - a great solution on a great tech stack.
Big-4 experience.
We have advised, designed, built, and deployed systems in response to IFRS, BCBS-239, and FATCA/ CRS legislations. These have data and financial characteristics similar to the SEC, ISSB, ESRS, DEFRA, and TCFD provisions requiring financial statement alignment, risk aggregation, and materiality.
With this experiential lens, we parsed multiple climate regulations, extracted the logic and data requirements, and built capabilities to help clients with complex businesses with climate-related disclosures.
Regulatory systems.
We have modernized financial systems, including Close, Consolidation, and Reporting processes, financial statement rollups, IFRS reporting and tax liability reconciliation, dimensional Charts of Accounts, multi-hierarchy organization structures, fiscal periods, GLs and sub-GLs, and investment portfolios with multiple asset classes.
With that experience, we factor requirements from TCFD, NGFS, PCAF, C-BAM (EU carbon taxes), carbon pricing, and other climate-related financial risk calculations on corporate financial structures.
Financial and tax reporting.
We have helped internal audit, risk, and compliance teams with urgent investigations into financial crimes, fraud, and litigation under demanding timelines.
We honed our ability to take structured and unstructured data, standardize it and find patterns with traceability and accuracy of results that withstood legal scrutiny. It is why key calculations in Climeverse are auditable and traceable by design.
Risk, compliance and audit.
Our experience across business functions and systems, including order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, operations and support, finance, treasury, and HR.
Our vast exposure to the data and process orchestration involved in running a business has led to the workflow features in Climeverse that align with a company’s internal approval paths for climate-related data to be collected, curated, verified, and disclosed.
Front, middle and back office.
We have built and deployed governance frameworks and operating models that improve a company's data quality.
Trust in a company's climate disclosures will depend on the quality of the data they are based on.
Climeverse has several features that standardize critical data elements, input validation, and other logic to create a credible climate data repository.
